Julius Caesar was assassinated on the Ides of March in 44 B.C. The Ides marked a point of time on the calendar. The Ides of March were on March 15.
If we keep prepared there is certainly no reason we should beware of the ides of March.
But unfortunately there will be those of you who will wait for the last minute preparing for your meetings, shows, etc
How many times have I had this same conversation; phone call “I need a price on printing a new face for my display and I want something that will be long lasting. I reply ”when do you need this?” And most times the answer is within 10 days.
I try to explain the procedures – 1) first day we print and leave overnight so the gases can escape. 2) day 2 we laminate and are sure there will be no separation having allowed for the printing gases to have escaped. 3) day 3 we attached magnetic tape with adhesive along with the plastic headers and kickers. This day is very important because we want to be sure the magnetic tape does not separate from the printed panels, knowing these pieces are rolled and unrolled several times and so must lay overnight to set before shipping. This will ensure that your project is getting the best treatment and will last a long time.
Can we do this faster sure we can will we loose quality sure you will but who is going to tell you that and hope to get your project which you needed yesterday.

When pricing a project you most keep in mind the time and material needed to complete your project.
How many times during my follow up I ask how things shaping up and the response is were getting bids. Now bids are no problem but time and material are. Did you ask for samples, are you comparing apples with apples?
And in the final annalist if your only interest is how much will this cost, if cost is your only concern than by all means state that up front and you will get your best price but not necessarily your best quality.
